Old buildings, shared walls
Historic rowhouses and older apartment buildings have shared party walls, plaster, wood trim and lots of small gaps. A plan for a rowhouse in Old Town looks very different from a plan for a single-family home in Hybla Valley. Treatment options
- Heat treatment, $2.00/sq ft: It usually takes 15 minutes to 2 hours to reach temperature, then we hold it for about 3 to 5 hours. Most jobs are done in one day, and heat jobs are retreated with Aprehend. Heat kills every life stage, eggs included.
- Aprehend, $0.75/sq ft: This is for early infestations in rooms where someone sleeps regularly. It takes 30 to 45 days, and you may see some continued activity. It also leaves 3-month residual protection.
- Hybrid, $0.85/sq ft plus $500 per heated room: We heat the rooms with confirmed bugs and use Aprehend in the rest of the home. You can sleep in the treated room the same night.
If you want a K9 inspection, we refer you to an independent company that only does inspections.
Foggers make it worse
A hotel set off foggers before our heat treatment, and we ended up treating 13 rooms instead of one. Using OTC sprays and foggers can also void your warranty.
Warranty and financing
The 6-month warranty covers live bed bugs in treated areas when prep and aftercare are completed (guarantee). Wisetack financing runs from 3 months to 5 years, subject to approval. We offer same-day emergency service 7 days a week. We can't guarantee a specific response time, and we're not a 24/7 service.
